Well, when I'm online, find either one of these names.

Wnx Omega Hammerer (W/Mo20, PvE, Hell's Precipice)
Alpha And The Omega (N/Me6, PvE, Pre-Ascalon)
Wnx Pure Omega (Mo/W20, PvP, Tournament)
NOTE: If I'm using Wnx Pure Omega, only ask if there are no or fewer than 7 people in my guild to do Tombs! Also, I'll need a quick tutorial of joining or making a custom server on Ventrilo, as I don't know what to do with it yet!

However, don't try to get me into a Guild, as I'm already in one (Warrior Nation). But, if anyone's interested to help me out with the 15k Set(s) in Granite and FoW/UW, or to do Any of the mentionable on the first post, then don't hesitate to add one of my names into your friends list

What I'd ideally like is some reasonable way to ask for people who want this (without asking "LFG, no idiots or jerks!"). It's mostly a matter of wording, but I've tried things like, "Starting a strategic, leisurely group for mission", etc.

I find a lot of the people I don't want to group with are the ones who are constantly saying, "gogogogogo". These people are also usually rushing through the mission, unsurprisingly.

That doesn't really capture everything I want; deolmstead captured it better with his original post, but that's hard to say quickly. =)

And frankly, while using a friend's list idea is good, there's too many people for that to work really well (especially since the friend's list is quite limited in number).

This is exactly the description of the sort of person I'm looking to recruit in my guild so if anyone's on the same time as me and are seeking ...

Ahem but anyway...

Me/W20 Marc Grahamsworth - just about everywhere. I like helping n00bies win the game, gives me a warm, fuzzy feeling inside lol .

Mo/E4 Ming Horsfield - Pre-Searing Ascalon - using this character to help introduce a friend to the game by questing with him.

I tip my hat off to you deolmstead for starting this thread .

This thread is turning out to be a great tool and the groups I’ve been in since joining up with people from it have just been great.

Not only have the groups been fun to run with, I don’t think we ever had to start a mission or quest over because we had failed.

Can you believe I’m actually starting to miss the… Go Go Go and seeing some strategically challenged player charging groups of mobs obviously way to big.

Great idea Deolmstead!

Bump.....

With all the threads concerning troubles finding good PUGs, this thread should be made a stickie!

Please add your name to the list of wonderful gamers here if the OP's post sounded like how you play the game!!

All I can really do right now is Underworld and Fissure of Woe runs, which usually end after someone accepts Unwanted Guests after repeatedly being told not to. I've given up on the Dunes of Despair and Dragon's Lair bonus since finding a competent group for those is almost impossible; unless anyone here wants to give me a hand.

For the time being, I'd be willing to assist anyone with quests and missions (doesn't really matter which one). Think I've almost become a pro at the Elona Reach mission, so if you need assistance with that one, just ask. ^^

As usual, I'm late to the party, but since the thread was bumped, I figure I might as well add my name(s) to the list. I've never actually participated in a PUG, and have only partied with a couple friends on occasion. The rest of the time, I've been slogging my way through with Henchmen (which has, I think, forced me to think about what I'm doing more than I might have otherwise).

Anyway, my peoples:

Corvic Skald: Ne/Mo 20, currently lost in the Crystal Desert. Last seen in the vicinity of Augury Rock. Jack-of-all-trades Necro, only carries Resurrection Monk-wise currently, but is willing to alter himself as needed, attribute points willing (he transformed into a pure protection monk to get through Bloodstone Fen mission + bonus with two henchmen, for example).

Mangar Skald: Corvic's little brother. El/Mo 8, can be found wandering around Old Ascalon.

The Amazing Krandor: Me/Ne 18, currently in Aurora Glade. Has made it this far almost exclusively using Hexes (mesmers and necros are thick with them!), but it looks like a change is in order shortly.

Shana Zan: W/El 16. Currently in Lion's Arch, hasn't seen much action lately. I just haven't been in a "warrior" mood. She does well enough solo in some areas, not so well in others. Doesn't even do so well with henchmen in LA area....

I'm willing to help in missions that give me no benefit at all. Count me in. I'm on late evenings, and sometimes weekends. Plus I enjoy all those good group list. I also enjoy being helped out lol I'm mission wise as far as Riverside Providance, but I have explored all the way to Granite Citadel... been trying to get to the grotto for the rest of the 15k armor... thats a tough place to get to...

I prefer to do all missions/quest/anything else with a group of smart and fun players who don't complain.

My first character I did almost entirely with henchmen. I am much happier playing with others.

Thanks

This sounds great. I'm currently at the desert, desperately trying to finish Thirsty River. Drop me a line if you want to team up, I just might do the same. I added a bunch of you to my list already I'm definitely no rusher and like to strategize and take it slow.

IGN:
R/E 20 Deanna Frost

I play on the euro server, but I'm more than happy to use international districts if any of you american/korean players happen to be playing at the same hours.

Well, a lot of what was said here is music to my ears. GW is my first role playing expierience ever. I really have got hooked.
The time one wastes with some groups. Just left one group earlier tonight in Abaddons before mission start, as no one even answered my questions as regards leader and calling. And it is so neat to do a quest with an intelligent group, I get quite a glow on after such a mission.
I am just suspectiing that you lot are all in the states and I am in europe .
Am I right? Hope not. I believe one is limited to how many times we can use the US server.
Anyway, I am W/R and also have started an elemonk, he is a level 8.
My ign is Cedardon Melis and i keep moving around the map between quests.

N/R 20 - Audhumla Nighthawk- Beaten game, always up for UW/FoW. Liberal use of Blood Ritual . Usually willing to run through old missions again. (Except Thunderhead and Thirsty River. Once is enough, not looking forward to repeating on future chars.)

Mo/W 13 - Thurgood Thivinus- Currently at Riverside, but I ended up not even visiting Bloodstone and The Wilds.

E/Me 5 - Alice of Malice- Only barely post-searing, haven't started much work on her.

Always up for a good group. Have TS/Vent, more than willing to use.
